Framed poster -A Legacy of Othering
The historical oppression and infringement of the human rights of Native peoples have been deeply entrenched. Despite this, the ongoing struggles of Indigenous communities for their human rights have been consistently overlooked. Both the media and policymakers have been slow to address the critical issues that are fundamental to the existence of Native peoples. The harsh realities of Indigenous history, the contemporary Native American experience, and how the past continues to shape their present circumstances are rarely given the comprehensive attention they deserve.
Despite their significant contributions to the prosperity of the United States throughout history, Indigenous peoples are still subjected to second-class treatment. The persistent neglect of the Indigenous community is egregious. It is truly disheartening to see that Indigenous peoples continue to suffer despite the presence of viable solutions.
