When I finished this artwork, I felt an indescribable bond with the image I had created. There’s a story in it that speaks volumes, resonating deeply with me as a Black woman. I thought about how we’ve always found ways to create something from nothing, and how we constantly remind ourselves to stay strong while moving through a society that still oppresses us. It feels like a cassette tape rewinding and replaying every day. Unable to find a title that fully captured the emotions it stirred, I decided to leave it untitled, inviting others to experience and interpret the story it boldly tells.
