This work examines Blackness through both its layered complexities and its directness. The central African male figure—drawing from the histories of the Black Cossack and Karabakhski—embodies the complicated sociological and psychological dimensions that shape Black identity. His placement within an Afro becomes a clear assertion of cultural pride, a visual shorthand for lineage and presence. The Black hair‑product logo extends this clarity, referencing everyday symbols that have long carried the weight of representation and aspiration.
Together, these elements reflect the dual nature of Black existence: struggle and joy, the urge to fight and the mandate to survive, individuality and collective mentality. The piece remains “untitled” because Blackness itself resists containment—it is lived, felt, and continually redefined rather than neatly named.
